  • HVAC Technician

    Northern Valley Electrical Service is seeking a HVAC Technician to assist and perform installs, maintenance, and repairs in compliance with state regulations and code.


    Position Summary:

    The successful candidate will perform skilled, complex work in the repair, maintenance and installation of commercial heating, ventilating, air conditioning, steam distribution, and energy management systems.


    Position Responsibilities:

    - Diagnoses malfunctions of heating/air conditioning/refrigeration systems and/or other components for the purpose of identifying repair/replacement needs necessary to maintain equipment and systems.

    - Installs heating/air conditioning/refrigeration systems and related equipment (i.e. unit heaters, pumps, safety controls, etc.) for the purpose of providing comfort inside facilities

    - Repairs various items, systems and/or components (i.e. refrigerators, air conditioning systems, heating units, etc.) for the purpose of providing renovation and preventive maintenance of heating/air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

    - Meets contractors and engineers for the purpose of discussing problems with new installations

    and future projects.

    - Directs other maintenance workers as may be required

    for the purpose of ensuring that

    assignments and completed in a safe, proper and timely manner.


    Requirements:

    - Licensed HVAC Technician

    - 3 years of relatable field experience, preferably in a commercial/industrial industry

    - Draw, interpret and read graphic instructions such as blueprints, schematic drawings, layouts and other visual aids

    - Valid Drivers License


    Preferred:

    - HVAC license or Mechanical Technology degree, or similar field experience

    - Knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical systems/equipment within the heavy industrial process background

  • I&C (Intrumentation & Controls) Electrician

    Northern Valley Electrical Service is seeking an I&C (Instrumentation & Controls) Electrician to assist and perform installs, maintenance, and repairs in compliance with state regulations and code.


    Position Summary:

    The successful candidate will work closely with I&C System Programmers, Project Managers, clients, and contractors to develop and implement outstanding control solutions that exceed client needs and expectations.


    Position Responsibilities:

    - Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot process instrumentation and control system components

    - Troubleshoot electrical and control system problems by reading control wiring schematics and PLC logic

    - Maintain and modify existing control systems

    - Maintain system documentation

    - Ability to communicate effectively with clients and other employees.

    - Travel to various job sites


    Requirements:

    - 3 years of relatable field experience

    - Experience with programming, start-up, commissioning, and service of complex instrumentation and control systems.

    - Experience with SCADA/HMI, telemetry, PLC/logic control, and industrial networks (wireless, fiber optic, Ethernet, and serial).

    - Experience with device integration using industry standard equipment (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Rockwell, GE, Wonderware, etc.).

    Position Summary:

    Engineers, and contractors to develop and implement outstanding control solutions that exceed client needs and expectations.


    Position Responsibilities:

    - Assist engineers with start-up of process

    facilities and pumping systems

    - Provide long-term service and support for

    process facilities and pumping systems

    Position Summary:

    The successful candidate will define projects objectives, create schedules, and oversee quality control through the entire project. Manage multiple projects and crews including developing electrical project budgets and schedule to project closeout.


    Responsibilities:

    - Achieve operational objectives by preparing and completing action plans, implementing standards, resolving problems, completing audits, and determining improvements

    - Meet financial objectives by completing estimates, developing project budgets, bidding, tracking project expenses, evaluating project activity, and other related tasks

    - Ensure team members have the appropriate materials, tools, personal protective equipment, and inventory to successfully complete projects

    - Manage electrical crews, including labor union employees, through training, scheduling, coaching, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; and enforcing policies and procedures

    Position Summary:

    The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Project Management and Estimating assisting in the preparing of estimates and assists with management of electrical projects. The successful person will work closely with coworkers to assist in the execution of the start to finishduties involved with the electrical constru ction industry.


    Responsibilities:

    - Quantity takeoff and input into estimating software

    - Coordination of subcontractor and supplier scopes

    - Initial Project Set-up (includingdocument updates, field distribution of contract documents, purchase orders, subcontracts)

    - Shop drawing and submittal preparation,

    review, and distribution

    - Material tracking

    - Project scheduling

    is seeking an Electrical Field Engineer assist and perform installs, maintenance, and repairs in compliance with state regulations and code.


    Position Summary:

    Northern Valley Electrical Service is seeking a Journeymen Wiremen to assist and perform installs, maintenance, and repairs in compliance with state regulations and code


    Position Summary:

    Under general supervision,perform a full range of journeyman level wireman duties such as installation, maintenance, and repair of wiring in compliance with State regulations.

    Position Responsibilities:

    - Plan and carryout the layout of electrical plans per the code keeping in mind project specifications to ensure work is handled properly

    - Read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, and designs of equipment diagrams

    - Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems such as: switch gears, motor controls, electrical panels, CT cabinets, conveyor systems, lighting, power supplies and generation.

    - Inspecting systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with the state and city electrical code.

    - Testing electrical systems circuit wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of each system type

    - Feed to, pull into, splice and terminate wire and cable into control centers, switch gear, distribution boxes, transformers, transducers, valves, receptacles, and switches, etc

    - Directing or training apprentices to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures


    Requirements:

    - Journeyman Wireman License

    - Valid driver’s license with no major violations

    - Drug test and background check

    - Ability to start ASAP
